Drosera filiformis var Tracyi, Thread leaf sundew, live carnivorous plant, potted

This easy to care for sundew is named for their long and delicate looking leaves covered with clear dew. New leaves uncurl from the center until they become long and upright. The leaves can grow up to 20". These plants are master predators and can easily capture gnats, ants, and mosquitoes. They will go through a winter dormancy in which all the leaves die back and all that remains is the resting bud. In the spring, the plant will 'wake up' and produce carnivorous leaves again.
